Alopecia Areata Awareness Blog Train

I had never heard of Alopecia Areata prior to joining this blog train. One of the participants has a six year old daughter that suffers from the disease. Can you imagine being six years old and losing your hair? Children can be so cruel! I'm dedicating this mini kit to Jenny's daughter. You can read about her here.

According to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, alopecia areata affects 2% of the population - that is more than five million people just in the U.S.! Alopecia areata is an autoimmune skin disease that causes bald spots on the scalp and other parts of the body, and in extreme cases can result in complete hair loss. I learned a lot about the disease by reading this article from the New England Journal of Medicine.

Here is my contribution to the blog train:

You can download it HERE.

There are so many beautiful creations for this train, have a look at the "master preview" made by Shannon of Shuckclod's Stuff:

CT Pages: The Man With the Moustache

The Man With the Moustache from Callaluna Creations encourages you to "scrap outside the box!" With 20 papers, 40+ elements, and an alpha, you will find everything you need to make tons of fun layouts!

Check out these pages I made with the kit:

While I was lucky to have these amazing pictures of my friend Jenny's family (they inspired this kit!) to scrap, you can do a lot of different things with this kit. Why not drop a picture of your husband into a layout that will be a blast from his past and give it to him for Father's Day? Got pictures of your teenagers hanging out and playing video games? Why not give those layouts a retro feel to make them truly unique? How about all of those pictures of your toddler climbing on everything and jumping from one piece of furniture to another? How very Mario-esque! And finally, there are enough basics in this kit to scrap a page or two that have absolutely nothing to do with video games!

The Man With the Moustache is available for 25% off during the month of May.

    New Release: Backyard Explorer

Some of you may remember the Backyard Explorer mini I made as part of the Designer Darling contest. It was one of my favorite kits ever, so I chose to expand it into a full size kit. It includes 20 papers, more than 35 elements, and 2 alphas!

You can buy the full kit in my store, or you can buy papers, elements, and alphas separately.

Here is a page I made with it. This little cutie is Jaxon, my friend Cindy's son:

I have a 25% off May Flowers sale going on right now, too! So its a great time to buy!

To celebrate the release of this new kit, I have created a quick page freebie for you!

You can download the freebie HERE.

And finally, I am still looking for additional CT members. If you are interested, please email me at callalunacreations@mail.com or message me through the Callaluna Creations Facebook page. I have very mellow requirements!
